Quebec City

We started off the day in Quebec City by fueling up on croissants and coffee at La Maison Smith. It was the perfect stop because we were just steps away from Petite Champlain, one of the more notable neighborhoods. The brick streets and quaint shops were charming all around.VIEW THE POST

Aloha Juice Bar

There were so many magical moments in Kauai, from look-out points on the edge of the world to simple and relaxing things like breakfast at the local juice bar. The Aloha Juice Bar that is. Since we were staying in Princeville, it was just a short ride away before we were in Hanalei enjoying some of the island’s most delicious and healthy treats. VIEW THE POST

The Westin Princeville

Kauai is my fiance’s favorite island. This was my second time visiting Kauai so I was already pretty familiar with most of its amazing towns. One of my favorite areas in Kauai is Princeville, right on the north side of the island. Last time we stayed at a vacation rental, but for this trip I wanted to have a resort experience and I was fortunate to team up with The Westin Princeville for the duration of my stay.VIEW THE POST

Field of Sunflowers

Last year I drove up to the sunflower fields and failed miserably. I drove up prematurely and the sunflowers were not even in bloom. Things got extremely busy for me during the first few weeks of summer of last year so I missed the sunflowers entirely. When summer rolled around this year and I started seeing them pop up on my Instagram, I was instantly reminded to keep to a close watch on when they would come in bloom. I wasn’t going to miss my chance this time around!

A Heart for New Adventures

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time in the beautiful coastal town of Mendocino. Since Mendocino is pretty far up north, my boyfriend suggested we should head to the redwoods for the day before we make our way back home. So we made a day out of it!

Mendocino

I was so excited to explore the town of Mendocino. Our first stop was breakfast at the Maccullum House. We enjoyed our breakfast along their amazing front porch. My boyfriend got his traditional eggs and bacon while I decided to switch it up and try out their breakfast burrito. And seriously, if you ever make your way here for brunch, get the breakfast burrito.

Today is the first day of spring! I’m so excited because now I could finally bring out the warm weather tops, shorts and dresses. I got this cute bell sleeve top from Lulu’s earlier this year, but it hasn’t been warm enough to wear it around town…until now!

Darla and Me

The sun finally made an appearance and it was actually warm enough to be out and about this past weekend. I haven’t been able to take Darla out since it rained and rained for the last few weeks. She has been cooped up at home. We finally caught a break from all the rain so I packed her ball and her dog food…

Christmas in Solvang

Earlier this month I went to Solvang, a little Danish about 45 minutes from Santa Barbara. If there is ever a perfect place to visit Christmas time in Southern California, other than Disneyland, it’s Solvang. The entire town is decorated in holiday cheer.
