Gingham Style

Can you believe it’s already the middle of May? I wish there was more days in the month and more hours in the day. I have been extremely busy last month with work after coming back home from the Philippines. Add remodeling a home and prepping for my Italy trip, I just needed a day to decompress. So my boyfriend and I got in the car and went for a drive.

Gloria Ferrer

If there’s one thing that all my loved ones know about me, it’s the fact that I love wine. And it’s sparkling wine in particular. A few weekends ago, I got to visit Gloria Ferrer in Sonoma. I have had flute after flute of their sparkling wines, but this was my first time actually visiting the winery itself.

Bohol, Philippines

My absolute favorite part of the trip was going down the Luboc River. It’s such a beautiful and peaceful ride. At the end of the river you are greeted by children who are happily singing and dancing for the tourists. They do a traditional Filipino dance called “tinikling.” Think of it like double-dutch but instead of using rope, two people hold long bamboo poles near the ground and beat them together in unison with the music…

Birthday

So today is my birthday and since I will be out of town all weekend for work, I decided that this past weekend would be the opportune time to do a small celebration. The first stop was at The Bud Stop in San Francisco where my boyfriend picked out this lovely assortment of flowers. I love this flower stand because they have great prices and they always have something beautiful and fresh.

El Nido, Palawan

On my trip to the Philippines, I had the pleasure of visiting the island of Palawan. Conde Nast names El Nido, Palawan number one in both islands and beaches in the entire world. After wandering off to El Nido’s secluded islands, white sand beaches with turquoise waters and their many lagoons, it’s not too hard to understand why they came to that conclusion.

Sunshine and Style

My favorite go to dress has to be the flounced hem style. Earlier this month I was looking for something cute for spring and came across this gorgeous, bright yellow dress at Banana Republic (which is now on sale). I love how this dress can be worn from day to night. Thankfully, I didn’t have to wait too long to wear it since we have been having amazing weather in California. We were hitting the high 70s in February!
