Tips For Ordering On Shein

As a part of my budget friendly fashion series, I want to talk about my experience with Shein. And for the record, this is not a sponsored post nor I did receive free product. Shein has approached me a few times to send me free items in exchange for reviews, but in all honesty, the items are rather inexpensive. I felt it wouldn’t hurt to purchase the items myself so I could share my honest and unbiased opinion about Shein and China online shops.

Lavender Fields

I have been dying to visit Matanzas Creek Winery for quite some time. They have an amazing lavender field that is in full bloom in the during the beginning months of summer. The intoxicating scent of lavender just fills the garden and it’s leaves you more calm and relaxed. I loved visiting this place. It is quite a drive, but well worth it…

Red, White and Darla

Fourth of July is around the corner and I saw this festive red and white striped dress from Brooks Brothers. It is absolutely perfect for the upcoming holiday. I have a lot of outfits that are blue or white, so this year I wanted to change it up and wear a little bit of red.

Summer Time + 12 Things

A lot has happened since spring’s 12 things, so today’s post will be a pretty good update on what’s going on. It’s finally the first day of summer, but really it has been feeling like summer for quite some time. Warmer weather always means more sun dresses to wear. Emerald Bay

As mentioned in my last post, I was in Tahoe for Labor Day weekend. However, a weekend in Tahoe wouldn’t be complete without hiking. My favorite place for an easy hike with incredible views would be Emerald Bay. Last time I went up to Emerald Bay, the roads were closed because of the snow as mentioned…

Lakeside Proper

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to head up to Lake Tahoe.  I just love breathing in the cool crisp air by the lake. It completely rejuvenates you after a long hard week of hustling in the city.

Summer Stroll

In a month, summer will come to an end. I have been doing my best to take advantage of the weather before the fall season approaches. I took a quick stroll around on one of my favorite trails in the neighborhood. I usually come out here in the mornings for runs before it gets too hot. This path always reminds me of the fall season because of all the beautiful foliage and huge oak trees. There’s even a creek which hasn’t dried out this year.

The Minimalist

As much as I love bold and beautiful dresses, when it comes to accessories, I tend to gravitate towards something simple and delicate. Bulky jewelry feels, well, bulky to me. Why wear it when a minimalist design will make the same impression? Drew & Co is a brand that has pieces which exemplify the minimalist look I am going for.

Seersucker in Sausalito

This weekend I headed back to Sausalito, only this time for an afternoon boat ride with friends. I got to the docks early so I could get this shoot in before we disembarked. The town of Sausalito is such a fun place to go in the Bay Area. There is just so much to do from taking a bike ride, to sailing or just enjoying lunch. One of my favorite spots is…

Polka Dot Dress

It has been hot in the East Bay lately so I have been taking trips out by the bay to beat the heat. This weekend I decided on Sausalito. It’s a little town right outside of San Francisco on the Marin side of the bay. The landscape is reminiscent of the Amalfi Coast in Italy. The houses even sit against the hillside in a similar fashion.
