Florence is the place to dedicate the most of your stay while traveling in Italy. You cannot fit it into a cookie cutter space and pack it away as a segment of your travels. It is simply eternal and there is no way nail it down within a few short days. I had the best food, wine and dessert of the whole trip. I could have spent an entire month and never lived the same moment. Even on my second visit, I felt I barely got a taste of Florence.
If you’re every traveling to Florence, I highly recommend making a stop at Ristorante Il Clarinetto. We had dinner here all three nights we were in town. Everything from the pasta to pizza to the seafood was delicious. I tried something different every night but I cannot get enough of their seafood plates. It was full of fresh seafood from the day and great prices too.
If you’re near the Ponte Vecchio, you must stop by La Carraia and get the gelato with cookies. I went here as soon as it opened up for the day and there was already a line out the door by the time I was served. After picking up my gelato I strolled back to the Ponte Vecchio and took in the beautiful site along with bite after bite of creamy gelato with cookies.
There is so much to do in Florence, that it is almost overwhelming to plan for. That’s why I chose this little black dress. I always pack an LBD because they are easy to style and can be worn from day to night with just a few accessories. I paired my dress with metallic silver oxfords. If you’re not sure what the day will bring but want to look appropriate for all occasions, bring an LBD.
