While I may have grown up in the Bay Area, I absolutely love going down to Los Angeles. I love the city, I love the vibe, I love all the beautiful beaches and I love the Lakers. I am definitely a California girl through and through.
Last month I was in LA for work and on my few days off I wanted to venture off somewhere different. I met up with a few of my blogger friends in the area and we set out for the Getty Villa. They haven’t been to the Getty either so was good to share this experience together. It’s such a beautiful little escape that’s located right off Pacific Coast Highway.
The Getty Villa was inspired by a private home in Ancient Rome called Villa of the Papyri. It opened around 1970s. The owner J. Paul Getty had passed away before he could see his vision come to life. The villa contains Roman and Greek sculptures and antiquities. It also has this beautiful fountain that extends across the courtyard. Unfortunately, there was not water on our visit, but this will not be my last time coming out to the Getty. It is still spectacular nonetheless.
I wore this crochet dress I got from Revolve. It’s by an LA based brand called Endless Rose. All their items are very chic and affordable. I absolutely fell in love with crochet details (especially on the back) and the way this dress swings. It’s truly the perfect dress for the summer! Not to mention it’s under $100. I have a bunch of my favorite Endless Rose picks below that are on sale.
