One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to head up to Lake Tahoe. I just love breathing in the cool crisp air by the lake. It completely rejuvenates you after a long hard week of hustling in the city.
Tahoe is a classic summer destination for us in California. There are so many fun outdoor activities to do up here. From bike rides, to boat rides, or even simply hanging out by the beach, I never know where my day will lead. So I pack an assortment of clothing that’s casual and lakeside appropriate. You never want to wear something too dressy because the activities are outdoors, but that doesn’t mean you have to be stuck wearing yoga pants and a sweater. I often bring a few pairs of shorts, button down shirts, a sun dress, and a jean jacket for the cooler evenings. For shoes, ditch the heels and pack a pair of sneakers (in case you end up hiking), sandals and if you want to get dressy, wear wedges.
I got this dress from Shein. This was my first time shopping over at Shein and they have some really cute stuff for a girl on a budget. I was immediately drawn to this dress because of the tie front top. Also I love how casual and laid back this dress is, yet it’s cute enough to wear if you’re going out later in the evening.
After a quick breakfast at Ernie’s Cafe, we took a walk down Zephyr Cove Beach. Some might say the best thing about Zephyr Cove is its “party” atmosphere, but I like this beach because of the scenery. It’s surrounded by an array of pine trees in the background and huge rocks by the shore. Best of all, Tahoe’s iconic blue waters are well on display here. If you are ever in Tahoe and want to lay out on a beautiful and fun beach, check out Zephyr Cove. You will not be disappointed.
