I have taken quite a bit of a hiatus. In truth, I was purposefully scaling back because I just need a break to reassess the blog and what direction I wanted to take with it. I got really burned out from blogging each week. I really wish I had enough time (and energy) to post every week, but these days my schedule does not allow it. Also for my photographer as well. His job is just as important. And yes, we both work full time too.

This year I have decided to make a few blog resolutions. I would like to be more transparent and (gulp) talk about some personal issues. I feel like my posts are full of travel and pretty dresses and while all of that is great, it’s really not my everyday life. I am just like everyone else and have personal struggles of my own. I would also like to share wedding related posts since I’m getting married in less than 9 months! Also maybe start vlogging? With my schedule these days…we’ll see!

And since this is my first post of the year, I wanted to share an off duty look. I haven’t been wearing a lot of dresses these days, especially during these harsh California winters (lol). Lately I have been reaching for my faux leather-like jeans (they are just coated denim) and my trusty grey sweater. I almost always wear a baseball cap (didn’t know huh?). I got this new Giant’s cap that I am obsessed with. It’s an effortless look that I love for when I’m going out for a casual dinner or running errands. What’s your off duty style like?

Looks like taking a blog break has been a common theme recently for a number of people. Sometimes we need to re-evaluate our priorities. I’ve even blogged about this myself, regarding changing what needs to change, in order for growth to happen. I do like your outfit – it looks comfy, yet stylish, too. My typical daily outfits are usually leggings and oversized sweaters or tunics right now while it’s cold here in Maine.

I applaud you, girl! Good for you for taking the time to assess, to really listen and to embrace yourself, by allowing, and sharing who you are. The photos are gorgeous – but remember: What’s inside is the true you. Why not share it? The world needs you!! <3. Blessings, Evelyn, PathofPresence.com

Honestly, this is as perfect an off duty look. Easy, comfy but still looks put together. I also hear you about stepping away from the blog to reevaluate what you want to do and the direction of blogging. I too feel very overwhelmed sometimes and need the space.
