While this may be the second time I have been to Italy, this is definitely the first time I have gone to the Positano. I have this travel bucket list on my Pinterest and Positano has been one of the top of places to go. So words cannot express the excitement I had when I was able to cross this location off my list.
Positano is a lot more spectacular than any photo. During the day you can see the hillsides and their brightly colored villas overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. It’s even more charming at night when all the homes light up. Just being here is just such a wonderful experience.
The mornings in Italy were my absolute favorite time of the day. Our rental was actually on top of the stairs, steps away from the beach (pictured above). It was so easy for us to make a cup of coffee and go out on the sand to watch the sun rise. It’s so calm, peaceful and serene. Not a soul wandering around other than me and my love.
After lunch, the town is full of life and it keeps going on until very late in the evening.
I absolutely loved walking though the alleys and exploring all the shops. The scent of lemon lingers in the air and the walls are covered with vines and flowers. It was so hard not to stop and take a photo at every corner. There was just so much beauty at each turn!
I packed this Diane von Furstenberg dress that was light and flowy. It was perfect for the warm days and the crisp evenings. I wanted to wear something that was colorful and moved every time I walked. I wore my ASOS sandals again. I hate packing too many shoes on a long trip. I made sure to bring the perfect amount since they take up a ton of space and half the time I never wear all of them.
What is on your travel bucket list? Let me know in the comments. I would love to learn more about where you are dying to go.
