This weekend I headed back to Sausalito, only this time for an afternoon boat ride with friends. I got to the docks early so I could get this shoot in before we disembarked. The town of Sausalito is such a fun place to go in the Bay Area. There is just so much to do from taking a bike ride, to sailing or just enjoying lunch. One of my favorite spots is Bar Bocce because I consider it one the best casual dining experiences in the bay. It’s great place to hang out and unwind with friends on a warm, summer day.
Usually if I’m going to wear something casual and want to look put together, I wear a simple and sweet shirt dress. I spotted this one on sale at Macy’s for under $100 and had to have it in my closet. I love the skirt of dress because it flares out. It is definitely an interesting take on a classic. To finish off the look, I added my bright red Chloe bag, tied a white cardigan around my waist and added a pair of silver sneakers.
This is definitely the type of outfit I’d wear all summer long, especially if I was going out boating. The seersucker material instantly gives off nautical vibes. I also tagged a few of my favorite classic shirt dresses at the bottom of this post. All of the dresses are under $100 and you cannot pass them up. I truly believe that shirt dresses are essential pieces to any growing wardrobe.
